What Do You Need to Succeed?

It is time to take the training wheels off, and fly. I truly believe in order to succeed, we need to be passionate about what we're doing. Perhaps it takes only a moment, or even a lifetime, but whatever we do, be passionate, and show your passion. It's contagious! Unfortunately, in our material world, many times we base what we do as a monetary value, and while that pays the bills, is that what we want to be remembered for? In my office there's a poster, "Live your life, so your autograph is wanted, not your fingerprints," which hopefully, doesn't have to be a limitation of choices to what we wish to accomplish. There's so much more!!! Bear Bryant, legendary football coach for Alabama once said, "Character is what you do, when noone's looking." I like that philosophy, but let's extend that, so we can be the models of behavior, that others look at, admire, and talk about: Let's start something amazing today. Whatever you try to do, make sure you succeed.

What are your beliefs? Who do you believe in? What do they believe in? Develop a network of individuals and groups who will benefit and support you in your endeavors, as you will do the same for them. So many times, we separate ourselves from others, especially in our times of need: "They'll never understand me," They've never been through this," and even "I don't want to waste their time." We are all valuable in our thinking, but only when our ideas have value. We need to talk them over, brainstorm, revise, and most importantly, implement them. Awareness of the process or problem is important, but application of the resolution or solution are essential. You can make a difference, but just as that great quote states," in order to walk on water, first, you have to get out of the boat!" It's time to get wet!!!
